Strictly a "design exercise" with "no plans for production," don't rule out something similar to the NEOS-3 showing up in the future, given Hyundai's recent track record. About the same size as the full-size Ford Freestyle, the 7-seater NEOS-3 would slot right above the Santa Fe, and with a 4.6-liter V8 serving as half of a hybrid powertrain, it would obviously go like no Hyundai in history. Without getting too specific, some of its technology is said to be intended for production, which includes ten air bags, infrared night vision, pre-crash sensors and proximity control using Extended High Frequency radar.
