Volvo 3CC concept front
This curious show car is here to prove that "environmentally-friendly vehicles don't have to be boring." Strictly a "sustainable mobility concept" and "technological demonstrator" with no production future, this California-designed, front-wheel-drive, three-seat transpod relies on 300 lithium-ion batteries to energize it to 60 MPH in 10 seconds – an entirely livable performance – obviously while emitting not one ounce of emissions in the process. Range is a respectable 180 miles, helped in part by a wind-cheating shape (better aerodynamics than a Volvo V50) and regenerative braking technology, while double-wishbone suspensions lend a touch of sport.
