2006 Cadillac DTS front
Ironic how the newest Cadillac is the last tie to its traditional past. It's also the last with front-wheel-drive, but here you have it: Cadillac's great big poofy sedan. Power comes from one dignified source, the Northstar V8 with either 275 or 291 horsepower, but why only a 4-speed automatic transmission? Magnetic Ride Control adjusts the suspension automatically, something you can also do yourself. Expect a great deal of room in this 207.6-inch-long sedan, along with a quiet, controlled ride. Pricing begins at $42K, a few thousand above the related Buick Lucerne.
