2005 Spyker C8 Roadster front.jpg
This 107-year-old Dutch aeronautical company has made a car, and it flies. Spyker has taken the most potent engine in Audi's lineup, its 4.2-liter V8, and pumped it up to 400 horsepower. (Two upgrade stages exist, the higher of which raises that to 475.) Dropped into the middle of an all-aluminum, 2,750-pound body, the 4.5-second 0-60 estimate sounds comically modest. The 14-inch brake rotors dwarf a Domino's pizza. If you want to pay $300,000 for one of the 50 being made, you get to choose between a hardtop and the "Double 12" convertible.
