Thanks to an ever-growing Camry, the biggest Toyota had to grow a little bit more for 2005. Again based on the most recent Camry, the new Avalon gets a new 3.5-liter V6 (sourced from the 4Runner) that has its horsepower zooming ahead to 280, making the Avalon fastest in class. All its dimensions also grow (though more on the outside than in), making this already-spacious car even more so, and its rear seat gains a flat floor for three-passenger friendliness.
