The third and newest Hummer introduces qualities that would seem to be the antithesis of the Hummer brand: smaller size, some fuel economy, affordable pricing. It is also based on more humble roots – the new Chevrolet Colorado – and shares its very humble five-cylinder engine. Will this tarnish the Hummer brand as the X-Type has done to Jaguar? Time will tell.
