Reviewed by Automotive on
Vehicle OverviewThe 2013 Bentley Mulsanne is the ultimate luxury full-size sedan in the automaker's lineup, combining luxury, performance, and traditional Bentley styling. In an effort to reduce weight, the front fenders and trunk lid are made of aluminum. As it stands, the Bentley Mulsanne gets an EPA-estimated 11/18/13 mpg city/highway/combined, slightly better than the 2013 Bentley Continental Flying Spur. The Mulsanne is powered by a 6.8-liter V-8 engine with variable valve timing and produces 505 horsepower and has a 330 mile range.
For a 5,700-pound sedan, the Bentley Mulsanne is able to achieve a top speed of 184 mph with its eight-speed automatic transmission. With 24 leather colors and 8 wood veneer choices, it's easy to customize the interior of the Mulsanne. Behind a power-operated wood veneer door is the infotainment system, and behind the front seats are electrically powered folding picnic tables that have a wireless keyboard and two iPads with an in-car Wi-Fi connection. Available on the 2013 Bentley Mulsanne is a cooler that can store two champagne bottle and three flutes.
Other available options on the 2013 Bentley Mulsanne include the Comfort specification that includes rear headrests with airline "Sleeper" style adjustable wings, foot rest, and loose cushions matched to the interior. Privacy curtains are electrically deployed and integrated into the rear door, giving occupants added privacy.
