I have always equated achieving success with getting a luxury automobile. Unfortunately this was never a dream I could attain until recently. Blessed with unexpected cash I knew immediately what I would spend it on, the 2009 BMW 5-Series. So one Saturday I found myself at the dealer trading in my Toyota fo the BMW 5-Series in sleek, shiny black. The test drive had me tingling all over and after doing the necessary paperwork I was taking this baby for a drive on the highway. Maybe it was just my imagination but I felt like everyone was watching me. This ride is very quiet and handles very well. The exterior is classy looking and very well built. The interior is even more impressive. The plush leather seats and upholstery are soft and have that new car smell. I like the fact that the power headrest can be adjusted and it has automatic headlights so I will no longer to worry about calling AAA to give me a jump. The sunroof effortlessy slides open and can be opened halfway. When I want to hear music the 10 speaker stereo and CD player has such excellent acoustics it seems like the band is playing besides you. I also like the fact it has automatic climate control. With that said I do have some concerns. The manual states the mileage should be 16/28 but that does not seem to be the case, a more accurate representation should be 12/22. Also the seats tend to absorb stains easily and when merging on the highway it seems not to do so effortlessly.
