BMW releases another fine performer with the 2003 BMW M5. The 4.9-liter, V-8 engine will purr beneath the hood, giving owners an exciting experience of real power. The engine puts out 394 hp at 6600-rpm and can move from zero to 60mph in 8.8 seconds. The base sedan comes with a six-speed manual gearbox with overdrive, making acceleration to attain the maximum speed a must-have experience.

What's New

The DVD-based navigation system is the main new feature for the 2003 BMW M5. The safety standards continue to get upgrades. In this edition, the post-impact safety fittings include head protection airbags in the rear to protect rear occupants from head injuries in an impact. These airbags are standard features in the BMW M5 range.


The BMW family ?birth-mark,? the twin kidneys, are on the hood of the 2003 BMW M5 and meet at the corporate BMW emblem in the middle. This is a modest sedan sitting on a 111.4-inch wheelbase, but the year’s model stretched lengthways and sideways to make a much more roomy sedan. It comes with the most current suspension and stability technology. This edition sports a rear spoiler and a power glass sunroof as standard features.

The BMW M5 rides on 18 x 9.5 inch alloy wheels with 275/35R Z performance tires. It comes with a full-size spare tire on an alloy wheel. It has rain sensing wipers, high-intensity discharge xenon headlights, and self-leveling headlamps.

The vehicle comes with cup holders in the front and in the rear. Mounted on a tilt and telescopic steering wheel are the speed-proportional power steering capabilities. According to recent BMW technology, the steering wheel comes with mounted audio and cruise controls.

Overall, the 2003 BMW M5 is a mid-size sedan. It comes with 37.4 inches of headroom, 41.7 inches of legroom, and 56.8 inches of shoulder room in the front.

The 2003 BMW M5 has a powerful, 4.9-liter, V8 engine chugging out 394 hp at 6600-rpm. It emits 368 lb-ft at 3800-rpm torque and has double overhead cam (DOHC), 32 valves, and variable valve timing (VVT). It is a rear drive, six-speed manual transmission engine. Its stability system includes rear limited slip differential, and four-wheel independent suspension.
