What's New

The 2009 Buick Enclave introduces a more powerful V-6 engine, which generates 288 horsepower, compared to last year’s 275 hp. Bluetooth connectivity, a 110-V plug, and real-time traffic function in the optional navigation system is new this year.

Exterior

The exterior of the Buick Enclave features a waterfall grille that is reminiscent of Buicks in the 1940s. The Enclave has been built to enhance fuel economy through aerodynamic designs. A large front air dam and deflectors in front of the rear tires impede airflow. At the rear, the curved glass also is aerodynamically sound. The exquisiteness of the body panel seams are testament to the care and craftsmanship Buick has put into each Enclave.

Interior

The interior of the 2009 Buick Enclave is opulent and spacious. The cockpit offers all of the high-tech systems. The seats are well-bolstered and will allow passengers to ride comfortably, even on long drives. Cargo capacity is 23.3 cubic feet, and it increases to 116.2 cubic feet with the second- and third-row seats stowed. If seating for eight is needed, order the optional second-row bench seat.

Performance & Handling

All 2009 Buick Enclaves are equipped with a 3.6-liter V-6 engine and a six-speed shiftable automatic transmission. The engine is powerful enough to let the Enclave get consumers to their destination in style. Whether they are cruising on the highway, or transporting children to their sporting activities, the Buick Enclave’s ride is smooth. The optional AWD will be a welcome feature when drivers are faced with inclement weather since power is sent to the wheels that need it most.

The Enclave can tow up to 4500 pounds when equipped with towing equipment.

Safety

Standard safety features in the 2009 Buick Enclave include ABS, electronic stability control with rollover mitigation technology, traction control, and a full complement of airbags. In the event of a rollover, the side curtain airbags stay inflated to offer protection to the vehicle’s occupants.
