A close relative of the 2003 Buick Century, the 2003 Buick Regal–at first glance–is the same vehicle with different colors. The Buick Regal however is not a celebration vehicle, while the Buick Century is. In this edition, the front-wheel drive uses a 3.8-liter V-6 engine. The sedan retains its curvy design and comes with additional color options.

What's New

A major move of standard features to the options’ list is a notable change on the 2003 Buick Regal. The features that remain will be available on the Buick Regal GS as options, but the Buick Regal LS comes with basic features. A number of these features are safety oriented such as the side impact airbags, traction control, and Anti-lock Brake Systems (ABS). The 2003 Buick Regal gets exciting metallic exterior paint colors.


The exterior of the 2003 Buick Regal comes with 15 x 6-inch steel wheels and P215/70R15 all-season tires. The windshield has intermittent wipers and the rear window has rear defogger. The exterior dimensions of the 2003 Buick Regal are larger than the exterior dimensions of 2003 Buick Century. It sits on a 109-inch wheelbase, and has 72.7 inches width, 56.6 inches height, and 196.2 inches length. The 2003 Buick Regal can ferry cargo of up to 6.7 cubic feet.


The interior of the 2003 Buick Regal is leather, and it has a leather steering wheel and leather seats. The driver’s seat is a six-way, power and height-adjustable seat. The base engine is 3.8-liter, V-6 that produces 200 hp at 5200 rpm horsepower, 225 lb-ft torque at 4000 rpm, with overhead valves (OHV), and 12 valves. It has a firm suspension system with MacPherson strut suspension, MacPherson strut rear suspension, and independent four-wheel suspension. The pre-impact safety system includes ventilated front disc brakes, solid disc brakes in the rear, and electronic brake-force distribution system.


The post-impact fittings on the 2003 Buick Regal include headrests in the front and rear seats that are height-adjustable. These height-adjustable headrests protect vehicle occupants from neck injuries and whiplash in an impact. The rear seat has child seat anchors and the rear doors come with child safety door locks. The door locks ensure that a child cannot open the rear doors of the vehicle without the assistance of an adult.

The security system of the Buick Regal comes with an anti-theft alarm system and an engine immobilizer. The two systems enable the driver to trigger an alarm to deter vehicle theft. The interior of the trunk has an interior trunk release lever. The lever helps a person trapped in the trunk to open it from within in an emergency. For enhanced vision in light of different intensity, the 2003 Buick Regal comes with daytime running lights, fog lights, and dusk sensing headlamps. The Buick Regal comes with cornering lights and auto-delay off headlamps.
