Performance & Handling
Equipped with a 556-hp, 6.2-liter, supercharged V-8 engine and a six-speed manual transmission, the 2011 Cadillac CTS-V also offers dual-mode Magnetic Ride Control suspension that reacts to changing road conditions in milliseconds in either Touring or Track modes. Six-piston front and four-piston rear Brembo brakes provide the stopping power.
The Magnetic Ride Control suspension gives the driver the option of selecting either Touring or Sport settings. Electromagnetic coils inside the shock absorbers, as well as sensors at all four wheels, continually monitor road conditions to adjust shock-absorber resistance. This results in enhanced ride quality in Tour mode, and excellent turn response in Sport mode, making the CTS-V a powerful and responsive vehicle, no matter what road conditions are encountered. Included in the four-wheel independent suspension is a front and rear stabilizer bar.
2011 Cadillac CTS-V safety features include variable intermittent wipers, a rear defogger, rear limited slip differential, a four-wheel Anti-lock Braking System (ABS), front and rear head airbags, dual front side-mounted airbags, remote anti-theft alarm system, rear parking sensors, emergency braking assist, front and rear ventilated disc brakes, rear door child safety locks, daytime running lights, engine immobilizer, foglights, high-pressure headlight washers, dusk-sensing Xenon high-intensity discharge (HID) headlights, stability control, traction control, electronic brake force distribution, and tire pressure monitoring.
