Bottom Line Yes, I would recommend this to a friend

  • Attractive Design
  • Comfortable
  • Handles Well
  • Adequate Power
  • Smooth Ride

  • Poor Gas Mileage

I've owned Cadillacs all my life and upgrded to the 2008 Cadillac CTS for its newer body style from previous generations. I like the fancier, edgier grill on the front and the old fashionable taillight style from the Cadillac Deville. The engine has plenty of power and the interior has been revamped heavily. The previous interior was quickly becoming out of date technology wise. As with every Cadillac i've owned and reviewed a major pro is how smooth the ride is. It literally feels like you are riding on a cloud per say, every bump in the road in the 2008 CTS can barely be felt and it is very enjoyable to ride in. One con that many people may be concerned about with the economy the way it is is the poor gas mileage. The average is around 22 MPG, which is not an attractive amount compared to some of the newer vehicles these days that advertise 40 and 50 MPG. The handling on the car is superb in my opinion; it can turn on a dime and is very easy and comfortable to drive. The amount of storage in the vehicle has never been a problem for me, I can easily pack a several days vacation worth of necessities and clothes without any hassles. Overall, it is a very large and stylish improvement over the first generation of CTS. I would recommend it if you can afford it.
