The 2011 Cadillac CTS is GM's standard car, which comes as a luxury sedan, wagon, or coupe, in four trim levels. Three levels of engines available for the Cadillac CTS include a 3.0-liter V-6, 3.6-liter V-6, and 6.2-liter V-8 paired to either a six-speed manual or automatic transmission.

An elegant, stylish car on par with the most luxurious sedans in the world, the Cadillac CTS is noted for nimble handling, high technology, and a comfortable ride. Loaded with niceties, the CTS sports a cool pop-up navigation screen, but the car is substandard in fuel efficiency because the body is heavy, achieving only 16 mpg city / 26 mpg highway. CTS benefits from Cadillac's outstanding standard safety systems.

New for 2011

For 2011, the Cadillac CTS added a new body style to its repertoire, the CTS Coupe. Similar to the CTS Sedan and Wagon, the coupe body style has a bit more aggressive appearance. In addition, a heated steering wheel and rear vision camera are now standard on all trim levels.

Driving Performance

While GM is beginning to phase out the 270 horsepower, 3.0-liter V-6 engine, which struggles with the CTS's weight, the 304 horsepower, 3.6-liter V-6 provides a comfortable balance of performance and refinement.

Safety Equipment

Standard safety equipment on the 2011 Cadillac CTS includes driver and passenger front and side airbags, front and rear head curtain bags, rear side airbags, and OnStar Automatic Crash Response. Electronic safety devices include standard traction control and stability control.
