A 275 horsepower 4.6 liter V8 propels the 5-passenger DTS, sending power to the front wheels. A performance package is available with a sport-tuned version of that engine that produces 292 horsepower. In addition to the more powerful engine, the performance package also offers performance algorithm shifting, magnetic ride control, triple zone cabin climate control and 18 inch, 9 spoke wheels.
The only available transmission is a 4-speed automatic with overdrive.
Fuel economy for the DTS ranges from 15 miles per gallon city, up to 23 miles per gallon highway.
Base MSRP for the 2009 Cadillac DTS at the time of this program's production is $46,280. With full options, expect to pay around $61,500. The DTS is backed by GM's 5-year, 100,000-mile powertrain warranty.
