The huge gap between Cadillac's XT5 crossover and Escalade SUV has finally been filled by the 2020 XT6. Based on the same platform underpinning the GMC Acadia and Chevrolet Traverse, the 2020 Cadillac XT6 is the three-row luxury crossover for those who don't want the bulk or price of the Escalade.
The XT6 is a front- or all-wheel-drive three-row luxury crossover with 310 hp and 271 lb-ft of torque from a 3.6-liter naturally aspirated V-6. A nine-speed automatic is standard, as is a power-folding third row and an 8.0-inch touchscreen with rotary controller. Premium Luxury and Sport models include more than just visual differentiation, Cadillac says. The XT6 Sport actually has suspension tweaks to make it feel more agile, while the XT6 Premium Luxury's ride is said to better isolate you from road imperfections.
