2003 Chevrolet Avalanche Review

Practical utility, handsome body design, quality safety and interior features in one vehicle.

Reviewed by Automotive on

Overview

Few vehicles can share the utility glory that the 2003 Chevrolet Avalanche has had. Its body design and dimensions make it a sports utility vehicle (SUV) and a pick-up truck all at once. It has a rugged exterior and the perfect look for a vehicle made for rough hauling. The Chevrolet Avalanche has one of the niftiest vehicle designs in the pickup truck market segment. To begin with, the crew cab section has two full size doors, which essentially makes it like a sports utility vehicle.

It has comfortable passenger seating in the rear for three. However, if the idea is to ferry cargo, behind the crew cab is a cargo bed. It is a short cargo bed, but when the need is to ferry longer items, the rear window is removable to turn the 2003 Chevrolet Avalanche into a pickup truck. The 2003 Chevrolet Avalanche runs on a truck wheelbase. It therefore does not have the leaner truck-bed space between the two wheel humps. With the rear window stowed, and the rear seat folded, the cargo bed becomes wide and long.
