The Chevrolet Aveo is all new for 2004.
The Italdesign design studios of Giorgetto Giugiaro in Italy created the 2004 Chevrolet Aveo. It offers a unique look with clean lines with short front and rear overhangs. Look for distinctive aerodynamic halogen headlights with faceted lenses, amber side turn signal lamps and jewel-like taillights that add to the unique look. It's available as a four-door sedan or as a five-door hatchback. Available colors are Black, Bright Blue Metallic, Galaxy Silver Metallic, Modern Green, Pastel Blue, Summit White, and Victory Red.
The 2004 Chevrolet Aveo seats five comfortably. Even though it is a small car, it has a high roof and a roomy interior. The rear seat of the sedan folds flat, providing more cargo area. The rear seat of the five-door hatchback nets 42 cubic feet of cargo area when folded flat and flipped forward. The seat cushions provide solid comfort and support with its high-density foam construction. The base model seats are covered in standard fabric while the LS models get deluxe cloth covering.
The interior layout of the Aveo is logical and comfortable. Standard features include an AM/FM stereo, tinted glass, floor console with storage, and rear window defogger. The LS model gets an upgraded AM/FM stereo with CD player and MP3 playback, air-conditioning, power door locks, and power windows. Options include a sliding electric sunroof and a six-speaker premium sound system.
Performance & Handling
Tested in the U.S. and Europe, the 2004 Chevrolet Aveo is tuned for a controlled ride and responsive handling. This nimble front-wheel-drive vehicle is solidly crafted and powered by a 1.6-liter, inline four-cylinder engine, which puts out 103 horsepower at 6000 rpm and 107 lb-ft of torque at 3600 rpm.
The 2004 Chevrolet Aveo's maneuverability is a safety feature in itself. Additionally it is built with an impact-absorbing frame and is equipped with standard dual front airbags, seat belt pretensioners, and an anti-lock braking system is optional.
