- Great Gas Mileage
The Chevrolet Cobalt is the sporty subcompact of the 2010 Chevrolet family. It is available in either 2 or 4-door models, and trim levels range from the cost and fuel efficient XFE model to the sporty SS trim, with the SS being the "super sport" model. The other trims come with an optional "Sport Package" which includes some minor style effects as well as alloy wheels. It is a great little car to own if you don't like to pay at the pump, which in my opinion is of utmost importance with today's gas prices. The XFE trim is the fuel-efficient trim while the SS still boasts a gas-sipping 30 mpg on the highway. Available options include power windows, locks and mirrors, air conditioning, leather wrapped steering wheel, ABS brakes, alloy wheels, and more. Performance is decent, with good handling and ample power even in the base engine to get on the highway, and with the available traction control and Anti-Lock Brakes braking is very good, even in bad weather. Throw a set of snow tires on and you have a very formidable winter vehicle. The only issues with the car that have been observed is the visibility out of the back of the car could be better, so extra care is needed when backing out of tight parking spaces. Rear seating room is OK, but it's not as roomy as a full-size car. Overall though, it is an excellent commuter car, especially if you have a long commute as you will save on gas. It is a very reliable vehicle which will last for years if properly maintained. I would definitely recommend this to anyone who has a long commute to work but also wants to travel in style.
