- Great Gas Mileage
- Loud engine
- Very affordable
While my 2008 Chevy Colorado is not perfect it definitely fulfills what I require in a pickup truck. The 2008 Chevy Colorado provides plenty of power for attaching a trailer and hauling without losing any pep. One great aspect of it is that while it is certainly powerful enough to do the blue collar tasks that pickup trucks are required to do, it still has great gas mileage. My 2008 Chevy Colorado averages about 23 miles per gallon which is much better than the typical 16 to 18 miles per gallon you can expect from most pickup trucks. The 2008 Chevy Colorado is also very affordable which is important when buying a car that is likely to be used as a work vehicle that will accumulate a lot of mileage. As far as driving is concerned, the 2008 Chevy Colorado has decent but not great handling. It is not the smoothest ride but it is not difficult to control either. Another positive about the vehicle is that it is very spacious in terms of leg room so you won't be squeezed in. The negatives about the vehicle are few but they are there. For one, the engine is loud and can make it harder to talk or listen to music in the vehicle. I have to turn the volume up quite a bit if I want to drown out the engine sound. Also, apparently some parts of the engine are hard to reach so maintenance on the vehicle can cost a bit more than would be expected due to the design. It truly does fulfill any need a person would have with a pickup truck. Your legs will not become cramped from little room on a long drive as is the case with many other pickup trucks as well.
