The 2008 Chevrolet Suburban is Chevy's roomiest SUV ever. Its exterior styling, sharper driving feel, improved fuel economy and interior refinement are carried over from a 2007 redesign.
Two engines are offered, 5.3 liter 320 horsepower V-8 with Flex Fuel option and the 6.0 liter 352 horsepower V8. Both can be mated to a 4 speed automatic transmission with overdrive. Two wheel drive and four wheel drive are available.
Mileage ranges from 14 miles per gallon, city to 20, highway.
Standard features include 4-wheel anti-lock disc brakes, StabiliTrak, GM's OnStar and an input jack for an mp3 player.
Options include rearview camera system and head-curtain side airbags.
The Suburban can seat up to nine with lots of cargo space left over and can tow a trailer weighing up to 9,700 pounds.
MSRP starts at $37,285 and approachs $50,000 as options are added.
