The 1998 Chevrolet T-10 is a vehicle that comes with two body styles: a pickup truck and a sport utility vehicle (SUV). The T-10 is available as a regular cab, an extended cab, or an SUV (the T-10 Blazer). All models come with a 4.3-liter, V-6 engine, capable of 190 horsepower (hp) and 250 lb-ft of torque, paired with a five-speed manual transmission. The four-speed automatic transmission is optional. Exterior
All models of the 1998 Chevrolet T-10 come with a steel underbody spare wheel, mechanical foldable mirrors, a rear step, tinted glass, and a fixed mast antenna. The regular cab model comes with black bumpers in the front and rear, while the extended cab comes with body-colored front and rear bumpers. The Blazer has a chrome bumper in the front and a body-colored bumper in the rear.
The pickup truck has heated reflective glass and a straight side pickup bed. The regular cab has a fixed rear window, the extended cab has a 1/4 opening rear window, and the Blazer has fixed rear side windows and a swing-out rear window. In addition, the Blazer has trailer-towing preparation and rear cargo doors.
Interior
All submodels of the 1998 Chevrolet T-10 come with a front seat cigarette lighter, a digital clock, fade courtesy lights, front door pockets, three-point reel front seatbelts with a static center lap belt, four speakers, and a ventilation system with four fan speeds. The pickup truck models also come with a front illuminated ashtray, a lighted glove box, and fixed front head restraints. The regular cab comes with a vinyl-upholstered bench seat, front cup holders, and a passenger vanity mirror.
The extended cab comes with cloth-upholstered front bucket seats and rear jump seats. There are static safety belts in the rear. Also standard for the extended cab are front and rear cup holders, a full floor console, front reading lights, seat back storage, and driver and passenger illuminated vanity mirrors.
The Blazer comes standard with air conditioning, an AM/FM radio, a cargo area cover and light, front and rear cup holders, a folding front center armrest, adjustable front head restraints, fixed rear head restraints, asymmetrical rear bench seats, seatback storage, and a passenger vanity mirror. The seats are all cloth-upholstered.
Performance & Handling
This vehicle comes with an auxiliary oil cooler and a transmission cooler for the pickup truck models. All models have a torsion beam front suspension with a stabilizer bar and a beam rear suspension supported by leaf springs. The T-10 is a four-wheel-drive vehicle that uses power steering.
Safety
All models come with a handful of standard safety features, including four-wheel anti-lock disc brakes, halogen headlights, variable intermittent front windshield wipers, daytime running lights, dual front airbags, and headlight control with a dusk-sensing device. The pickup truck models also come with a low fuel warning signal.
