With a complete re-design in 2007, the 2009 Chevrolet Tahoe continues the current generation of this popular full-size SUV.
This truck-based, body on frame SUV offers 3 engine options: a 4.8 liter V8 with 295 horsepower, a 5.3 liter V8 with 320 horsepower, and a 395 horsepower 6.2-liter V8. Power is sent to the rear wheels or available 4-wheel drive with low range, through a 4-speed automatic transmission with the 4.8-liter engine, while the rest of the lineup is equipped with a 6-speed automatic.
Fuel economy for the Tahoe ranges from 12 miles per gallon city, up to 20 miles per gallon highway.
