I promised myself when I was young that I would never buy a so called "grandma car" make and model. They never seemed appealing to me as a young teenager wanting speed and maneuverability over comfort and luxury. As I became older the realization set in that that may not always be an option. As you basically take what you can afford. While looking for a car I came across a Chrysler Sebring for sale in the paper from a local in my town. I thought to myself that it was reasonably priced and Chrysler was a reliable make and gets semi decent gas mileage. All the while thinking in the back of my brain that I would join the plethora of "old people" driving on the road today and add 5 years to my age if I drive this car. Well, my reasonable side won and I went to look at the car for sale. I was very surprised when I saw the car how much better it looked to me than those, so called "grandma cars", I pictured in my head as I was driving over to see it. It wasn't by any means a corvette but it had a surprisingly nice sporty look to it. When I slipped behind the wheel to take it for a test drive I found myself feeling pretty good about the car. It handled very nicely around town and drove very straight on the freeways. I had asked the previous owner if he had had to repair it much and he stated no he didn't and that the car had run very nicely since he bought it new in 2009. He kept up on the scheduled maintenance and took it in for regular checkups never finding a thing wrong with it. My final interpretation of the car was a positive one although it started out to be negative and I purchased the car. I have never since then had any major issues with it and still love to drive it around town. I am very glad that I decided to go see this car and will look into buying a newer model in the future.
