The 2009 Dodge Challenger comes equipped with features that some of the previous versions couldn’t have even dreamed of. Some of the standard features include a sport suspension, 20-inch alloy wheels wearing 245/45 high-performance tires, a rear spoiler, xenon headlights, and heated side mirrors.

Optional equipment includes a sunroof and ultra-performance summer tires.


The 2009 Dodge Challenger boasts standard features that include air-conditioning, an eight-way power driver’s seat, a 60/40-split folding rear seat, a tilt/telescoping steering wheel, keyless entry, and a CD/MP3 player. The R/T model comes equipped a leather-wrapped steering wheel, full power features, and a shift knob. The standard version also offers a 13-speaker premium audio system with a six-CD changer, satellite radio, steering-wheel-mounted audio controls, an auxiliary audio jack, and a music server system, which makes the vehicle unique.

Performance & Handling

The modern interpretation of a classic muscle car, the 2009 Dodge Challenger offers three engine choices, like the 6.1-liter HEMI, which produces 425 horsepower. It is the only model available in the SRT8 edition. The SRT8 may also be integrated with a six-speed manual transmission. The model gets quite impressive performance, with a max speed of over 170 mph and fuel economy of 16/25 mpg city/highway.
