I bought a 2006 Dodge Charger brand new for $38,000 dollars. I have faithfully taken it to the dealership for all repairs, oil chagnes, etc. I have had the car for eight years. Last year I paid over a thousand dollars for water pump, battery, and alternator...ok i was thinking those are minor repairs that perhaps come with time. One year later the dealership tells me that I need a new motor and that the cost is $7,686....including labor. I only have 80,000 thousand miles on the car. The service dealrship department was very rude and unfriendly. I paid $89 dollars for diagnostic and $432.00 for a break down for them to tell me what was wrong with the car. I decided that I was not about to pay close to $8,000 for repairs so i had the car towed to another dealer for cheaper. However the dodge dealership would not put the car back together unless i paid them to do that too. They sent me on my merry way with all the parts in the trunk of the car. I WAS LIVID! They said the valvles dropped and busted a hole in the piston. There was no warning...my car did not run hot....it just decided to to crank. I WOULD NEVER BUY ANOTHER DODGE!!! IT ONLY GAVE ME EIGHT YEARS WITH ONLY 80,000 MILES ON THE CAR.
