The Dodge Dakota mid-sized truck has undergone a facelift for 2008 that includes new hood, grille, headlights, fenders and an upgraded interior.
ST, SXT, SLT, Laramie and sport trims are offered in a wide variety of cab and bed sizes. Standard equipment includes 16 inch wheels, 4 speaker sound system with in-dash cd/mp3 player and advanced multistage airbags.
Engine choices are 3.7 liter V6 producing 210 horsepower and a 290 horsepower 4.7 liter V8. A 6 speed manual, or 4 or 5 speed automatic transmissions send power to either 2 or 4-wheel drive.
Fuel economy ranges from 16 miles per gallon city in the V8 to 20 miles per gallon highway in the V6.
Base MSRP is $19,435, while the top of the line Laramie crew cab breaks $30,000.
