Bottom Line No, I would not recommend this
Pros
Cons
The Dodge Journey tries to be so many things that in the end, it doesn't really end up being much of anything at all. When I purchased it, I saw this as a car that would provide the spacious interior that would meet the needs of me and my family. I didn't want to get a minivan, as I've had numerous problems with those in the past. (Most of the ones I've owned have needed extensive repairs as time went on. Unfortunately, the Journey didn't really solve my problems in that regard. I've owned it for less than two years, and have already had numerous issues that require a trip to the repair shop. It's almost reached a point where I feel like I've poured so much money into this car that I can't get a different one. I will say that this is a very "fun" car. It came with numerous bells and whistles, such as MyGIG, which is a entertainment/navigation system. But in the end, it simply isn't worth having to deal with the lack of reliability. The pricing on this car is very reasonable, but the reason becomes clear after owning it for a while. Even when it's working perfectly, this thing drives like an old beater; it's pretty clunky and slow to react. I will say that this car is very quiet to drive, which I appreciate as I tend to get headaches when dealing with too much noise on the road. It also is very spacious on the interior, so the designers succeeded in that respect. Looking back, though, I wish I had done some more research before making this purchase. The cons of this car are just not worth it.
