1995 Dodge Ram 2500 Review

A reliable family vehicle with tons of options.

Reviewed by Automotive on

Known for its unadorned, boxy exterior design, the 1995 Dodge Grand Caravan remains a popular choice due to its reliability and outstanding list of standard features and excellent available options. Featuring four models, the Grand Caravan can be customized for every need. In a very crowded market full of minivans clamoring for the attention of the average everyday family, the Dodge Grand Caravan still manages to stand out.

The plethora of features combine to produce a minivan that is both comfortable and convenient for the family.

The Range

Body Styles: minivan
Engines: 3.3-liter V-6
Transmissions: four-speed automatic
Models: Dodge Grand Caravan, Dodge Grand Caravan SE, Dodge Grand Caravan LE, Dodge Grand Caravan ES

What's New

The 1995 Dodge Grand Caravan features the new SE model, and introduces a Sport decor package. Also, a 3.3-liter V-6 that runs on compressed natural gas is available. Aside from these additional models, the 1995 Dodge Grand Caravan is virtually identical to the previous year.

The 1995 Dodge Grand Caravan includes 15-inch wheels and has tinted glass on the SE and ES models. Special factory paint, sunscreen glass, and roof rack are among the Grand Caravan’s optional exterior features. The exterior styling of the Grand Caravan is somewhat unconventional, curvy, bubbly, and rounded.

Varying between models, the Dodge Caravan can be equipped in either cloth or vinyl seating. AM/FM audio system is standard on all vehicles, with a cassette player coming standard on the upgraded models. All but the base model include seating for seven passengers.

Performance & Handling

Equipped with a standard 3.3-liter V-6, the Dodge Caravan has enough power to carry its weight plus several passengers easily. Handling and maneuverability are close to that of a car, which is a trait Dodge has strived to attain in its line of minivans. Its engine produces 162 horsepower, which is rather standard for a minivan and competes with other vehicles in its class.

Safety features for the Dodge Grand Caravan include four-wheel Anti-lock Brake Systems, fog lights, and driver and passenger front airbags.
