Overview

The 1996 Dodge Stealth is a beautiful, powerful sports car that can no longer compete in the crowded world of speedy racers, especially after losing buyers after the release of the Viper. It comes with one engine choice, three transmission choices, and three trim levels. One outstanding feature of this vehicle is its premium audio system.

What's New

The 1996 Dodge Stealth is in the final model year. The standard rear spoiler is a new feature for this model year as is an optional Infinity audio system.

Exterior

The 1996 Dodge Stealth comes with tinted glass and a rear spoiler, with a power moonroof available as an option. The base model comes with 15-inch wheels, the R/T with 16-inch wheels, and the R/T Turbo with 17-inch wheels. The base model comes with power exterior mirrors standard and the option of power windows. The R/T comes with standard alloy wheels and power exterior mirrors and the option of power windows. The R/T Turbo comes standard with power heated mirrors, alloy wheels, and power windows with the option of 18-inch wheels.

Interior

The 1996 Dodge Stealth comes with standard bucket seats, cloth upholstery, a leather tilt steering wheel, premium AM/FM/Cassette audio system and air-conditioning. A center console is also standard for the base model. Optional equipment includes a compact disc changer, leather upholstery, and Infiniti Audio system. The R/T Turbo has the additional option of a power driver’s seat.

Performance & Handling

The 1996 Dodge Stealth comes with power steering standard. Cruise control is optional on the base model and the R/T, while it is standard on the R/T Turbo. The R/T Turbo also comes with limited slip differential and four-wheel steering as standard features. All models run on a 3.0-liter, V-6 engine. The base model and R/T come with a five-speed manual transmission and the option of the four-speed automatic transmission. The R/T Turbo only comes with a six-speed manual transmission.

Safety

The 1996 Dodge Stealth offers standard power brakes and driver and passenger front airbags. Other standard features include intermittent windshield wipers, fog lights, a rear window defroster, and remote trunk release. The R/T Turbo comes with a keyless entry system, rear window wiper, and power door locks. These features are available as options on the other models. Four-wheel anti-lock brakes are available as options for the base and R/T models. An anti-theft alarm system is an available option for the R/T and R/T Turbo.
