I purchased the 2012 Ford E-150 to utilize as a van for hauling around a variety of equipment for my residential contracting business. I carry a great deal of lumber as well as many different tools, so a roomy interior made for carrying cargo was definitely what I needed. The Ford E-150 has definitely come through for me so far. It is incredibly roomy, and 2 seats are really all that I need - a seat for me and a seat for my dog. Everything is available with power - windows, locks, mirrors and so on. The air conditioning works well, even in the hot summer months. I upgraded to the computer in the dash, great for working on business documents as needed. I even fitted a printer, so I can invoice on site. It's a great upgrade. The van is incredibly reliable thus far. I had only heard good things about the Ecoline vehicles from Ford, hence why I chose this particular van. The van seems pretty safe as well. I've got antilock brakes, dual front airbags and I got the backup camera installed as well. I did read that, unfortunately, the van received a NHTSA rollover rating of poor. However, that was amongst the only negative safety information/ratings that I found. I definitely feel like I'm in charge when driving this van. I'm also appreciative of the fact that the van comes with a 3-year/36,000 mile warranty. I am glad to know that if anything breaks at the beginning, I can easily get it all fixed up.
