- Adequate Power
- Poor Gas Mileage
I own a construction business, and I always am bringing things from place to place. A pickup truck is great for some things, but it quickly becomes lacking when you need to transport delicate equipment in the rain. I was looking to update and considered a ton of different vans, such as the Chevrolet Express and GMC Savanna, but the 2011 Ford E-250 just made sense. This van, even though it's so big, gets from zero to sixty in less than ten seconds. For someone that is constantly going between two cities on the highway with multiple stops in between, this is an absolute lifesaver. However, with a lot of power you have to make some trade offs, and it definitely shows when you are buying gas for this car. It only gets 13 miles per gallon in the city, but in the real world it gets closer to ten, so I find myself filling up all the time, which can be a real hassle. Besides that, it affects my budget. It is not too bad, though, when I consider other similar vans that have even worse gas mileage. To wrap up, if you own a business like I do and can't risk having your wares just laying out in your truck, this van is worth every penny. If that doesn't apply to you, however, the gas is so expensive you might want to look elsewhere.
