Pros
Cons
We love Fords, but we've always had minivans before. We took the Edge across the country, and it was really comfortable, and the interior finish felt like it was put together well. It does only have enough room to seat five, but that was fine for the size of our family, and we're short people anyway. We did almost have a mishap while parking when we let our teenage daughter with a permit try to do it; she said that it was weirdly difficult to figure out exactly where the SUV's, um, edge ended! Actually, I agreed with her, and I'm pretty good at parking, usually. So I think there's something about the way the dimensions are or about the driver's view, but my husband just rolled his eyes at that. The Edge actually did steer really well in general---my daughter was parking it because she'd already been driving it for awhile, and she had no problems. So it steers well on the go but is just weird when parking! My daughter said she especially liked the power it seemed to have, which surprised her. My husband didn't thinnk it was too great at braking, but he has a lead foot and is used to driving a sedan. My daughter and I usually have been the minivan drivers, and we didn't think braking was bad! Also, SYNC is awesome. You can talk to your car and it understands you! That's fun and safe, and you can keep your eyes on the road. Love it!
