The 2010 Ford Expedition's SOHC 5.4-liter V-8 engine generates 310 horsepower and 365 pound-feet of torque mated to a six-speed automatic transmission. The Expedition can tow up to 9,000 pounds and haul up to 1,620 pounds, due to its ladder-frame chassis. While it has some off-road capability, the Expedition's nearly three-ton curb weight hinders acceleration and fuel economy.
