Rugged, durable and versatile, the Ford F-150 is largely unchanged for 2008.
The F-150 has three engine options: a 202 horsepower V6, a 4.6 liter V8 with 248 horsepower and a 5.4 liter V8 that put out 300 horsepower. 2-wheel-drive and 4-wheel-drive models are available.
The F-150 is available in a wide assortment of trims; all with their own purpose in mind. The STX and FX2 are styled and sporty. The FX4 and other 4 by 4 models such as the XLT and King Ranch are rugged workhorses offering a variety of cab sizes and bed lengths from which to choose.
Features that set the F-150 apart are rear cargo power outlets, standard rear cargo tie downs, and tow hooks capable of pulling over 10,000 pounds per hook.
Gas mileage for the F-150's V6 is 14 miles per gallon city and 20 highway. The 4.6 liter V8 gets 15 city and 20 highway, while the brawnier 5.4 gets 15 city and 19 highway.
Base MSRP is $17,345. Pricing can run into the lower $30's fully loaded.
