2013 Ford Focus Review

Reviewed by Automotive on

Vehicle Overview

The 2013 Ford Focus compact car remains one of the brand's top vehicles, and with the addition of the ST model this year, it plans to keep its top spot. The Focus is offered in a hatchback and sedan model, in three different levels, the S, SE, and Titanium. Powered by a 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine that delivers up to 26/36 mpg city/highway and 160 horsepower.

Since its redesign last year, the Ford Focus has gained a much-improved interior, better fuel economy, and more standard features. The 2013 Ford Focus S model offers keyless entry, air condition, power front windows, tilt and telescopic steering wheel, and a four-speaker sound system. The SE adds automatic headlights, cruise control, power rear windows, a trip computers, Ford Sync voice-activated phone and audio interface, and steering wheel audio controls. The Titanium model gets the SE Appearance, Winter, and MyFord Touch packages standard, with an upgraded exterior and interior trim, rear parking sensors, keyless entry and ignition, as a rearview camera.

Optional on the SE is the Super Fuel Economy package that features low-rolling-resistance tires, rear disc brakes, rear spoiler, and 16-inch wheels with aero wheel covers. The optional SE Appearance package includes ambient interior lighting, foglamps, an automatic transmission, leather upholstery, and satellite radio. The Winter package brings heated mirrors and front seats. Exclusively for the Titanium model is the Titanium Handling package that adds 18-inch wheels, upgraded sport-tuned suspension, full-size spare and summer tires, with optional navigation and sunroof. A parallel parking system is also available.

New for 2013

The 2013 Ford Focus adds the much-anticipated ST hatchback, retires the SEL model, and adds a sport package for the SE model, and the Titanium gains an optional five-speed manual.
