The
2011 Ford Mustang, which comes as a coupe or a convertible, received major a redesign this model year with new engines and transmissions. Now, the Ford Mustang offers a 3.7-liter V-6, a 5.0-liter V-8, or a 5.4-liter supercharged V-8 engine, paired with either a six-speed manual or automatic transmission.
Since the Mustang received quite a few upgrades in 2010, the design for the 2011 Mustang is a continuation, with newer exterior sheet metal making the vehicle more attractive than ever before. In addition, to shore up safety, the Ford Mustang is built with ultra-high-strength steel door intrusion beams. Fuel economy is a not-so-bad 19 mpg city / 29 mpg highway.
New for 2011
For 2011, the Ford Mustang got its most comprehensive power-train update in over a decade. New DOHC V-6 and V-8 engines replaced the old SOHC mills, and both 5-speed gearboxes were eliminated in favor of 6-speed transmissions.
