BMW's new 3 Series hardtop-convertible makes its debut at the North American International Auto Show at Detroit in time for summer sales. Here's a look:

335i with 300-horsepower/300-pound-foot twin-turbo direct-injection gas 3.0-liter six

328i with a 230-horsepower/200-pound-foot 3.0-liter inline-six

All-steel top lowers in 22 seconds, closes in 23

Rear side windows are 30 percent larger than on the last-generation 3 Series ragtop

Hofmeister kink is retained
