The 2009 Chevrolet Camaro has been caught undisguised again, this time running around the streets of Motown while wearing a very mean looking black suit. The zebra pattern Camaro, meanwhile, is a fresh-off-the-boat prototype that still sports Aussie-spec taillights.

The arrival of the Camaro in Detroit means that final production testing is likely to begin shortly. About the only details missing from this car that will be on the production model are the badges, though GM still won't go into full detail on production specs and trim levels. According to a recent Automotive News report, Chevrolet will be focusing on low-priced V-6 models, with one engine option being GM's direct injected 3.6-liter V-6 tuned to make about 281 horsepower.

Additionally, GM has told its dealears that there will not be a Pontiac variant of the Camaro, citing new CAFE regulations and the lack of a sound business case.

The Camaro is set to go into production at the end of this year, with sales beginning in the first quarter of 2009.
