Kia KCD II Mesa Concept

Text Size

The burly KCD II concept (so named because this is the second design project for the Kia California Design Studio) represents Kia's take on American truck design. This Tahoe-sized SUV, which will be called the Mesa in production form, uses a stretched Sorento platform featuring three rows of seating and dual full-length sunroofs. Much like the KCV4 Mojave pickup from last year's New York show, the KCD II demonstrates Kia's effort to join the big truck crowd. Is the American market ready for a full-size Korean truck or SUV?
