BMW is keeping mum, but expect the convertible version of the hot BMW {{{M6}}} to debut sometime in late 2006, about a year after the M5 sedan is expected stateside. Cabrio prototypes have been spotted testing at the Nrburgring. It will be propelled by the same 500-hp, 5.0-liter V-10 found in the M6 coupe--which made its worldwide debut earlier this year in Geneva--mated to BMW's seven-speed SMG (sequential manual gearbox) transmission. A $100,000-plus price seems more than likely.
