A convertible version of Chrysler's next Sebring sedan--out this fall--sharing engine and transmission options (including an available six-speed automatic) with the four-door. A Karmann-designed folding hard top and a fabric roof will both be available. The front-wheel-drive convertible rides on the same platform as the upcoming Dodge Avenger. With the technology gradually trickling down to the masses, the Sebring convertible represents one of the cheapest ways to buy into the folding-steel-roof club. You can get one in 2007.
