VW hasn't had a sport coupe since the Corrado disappeared in 1994, but in 2008 we'll get an all-new Scirocco based on the next-generation Rabbit chassis. A 230-hp version of VW's 2.0-liter turbo four should power the base model, and an upmarket all-wheel-drive version will use the 3.6-liter VR6. A convertible also is being considered.
