The GMC Acadia was not only eye catching but also has numerous features that make this car appealing for everyone. I would give the Acadia an overall 5 star rating. Pros for the 2009 Acadia are: comfortably seats up to 8 passengers, handles well in all weather conditions with AWD, responsive steering and brakes, and great fuel economy for a mid size cross over SUV. It is a great vehicle offering comfort and space for every occasion. I found the third row seating perfect for traveling with the family as well as when moving large loads. And with all of the features available there is no lack in safety, all row curtain airbags, On star with GPS navigation system, bluetooth capabilities, rear entertainment HD DVD, and Bose sound system this car has all the comfort i could ask for. The Acadia leaves little left to desire unless you prefer off road traveling, The Con is a lack of a 4 wheel drive low range option, only front wheel and AWD available. The smooth ride from the six-speed automatic transmission only has one flaw with choppy downshifting. Although the exterior design of the vehicle is appealing there are areas of the interior that seem to be less then adequate. The dashboard design is not designed to be of convenience to the driver and the side paneling is lacking quality compared to the rest of the car. More useable space in the interior could be achieved through additional pockets and upholders through out as well as compartments in the front row seating.
