The 2009 GMC Canyon is a good looking truck with revamped features. It now has a V8 engine that brings forth a performance improvement over years past. However, in my experience, the Canyon is still not an elite truck and although it has some pros, it's cons outweigh them by a decent margin. The interior is one of it's biggest cons. The interior is made from cheap materials and it is simply not an enticing look. Furthermore, it's seat design is also not on par. The rear door openings can also be a hassle for people who are above average in height and/or size. I am a tall individual and to be honest, I found the vehicle's spacing to be quite a hassle. Furthermore, another one of the cons was it's wind noise, especially at highway speeds. Expect to hear this noise constantly at highway speeds unless you have the tendency to listen to music at a fairly loud sound level while driving. The safety rating is a con as well; those drivers that may carry their family may want to consider other options. The 2009 Canyon does have some pros though. One of the biggest pros is it's cheap price. I found the biggest pro to be it's fuel economy. This truck is viable for both short and semi-long trips. I would certainly recommend it if you are looking for a cheap work truck with decent performance.
