The extended cab models are based on 155.0 inches wheelbase and the only difference is length, which is 238.8 inches. The exterior features differ with trim levels. The GMC G2500 models features standard argent and rear step bumpers while the chrome bumpers are optional. The chrome grille, trailer hitch, power door mirrors and heated door mirrors are offered optional. The company offers optional bodyside moldings for the passenger model of GMC G2500.

Interior

The GMC G2500 has a good list of comfort and convenience features. The standard list of equipment differs with trim levels. The standard list of features in GMC G2500 model includes day-night rearview mirror, passenger and driver door bin, and front cup holder. Features such as air conditioning, cruise control, power windows, tilt steering wheel, one-touch down, rear air conditioning are optional.

The extended cab passenger model has more standard comfort features such as air conditioning, under-seat ducts, and seatback storage pockets. The extended cab models also adds some optional features such as illuminated entry, passenger vanity mirror, illuminated driver vanity mirror, and remote keyless entry, along with several other features. Performance & Handling

The trim levels of regular and extended cab models of GMC G2500 feature 5.7-liter V-8 cranking 250 horsepower and 330 ft-lbs of torque. The 6.5L Turbocharged V-8 is also available as an option. Power brakes and power steering with speed sensitivity is standard for all trim levels and cab models. All trim levels of regular and extended cab models feature four-speed automatic transmission.

Safety

All trim levels of GMC G2500 are equipped with standard driver and passenger front airbags. The standard feature list also includes four-wheel anti-lock braking system, power brakes, daytime running lights, height adjustable front seatbelts, and rear child safety locks. Power door locks and locking differential is optional for all trim levels.
