I recently purchased a GMC Yukon XL 1500, so I could start taking weekend trips across the country.
After my last child graduated from college earlier this year, I finally decided it was time to treat myself. For several years now, I had wanted to travel cross country but I didn't have the right type of vehicle for traveling. After previewing several 2010 models online, I finally found one that fit my travel needs and budget. I narrowed my list down to a black and burgundy model, and finally decided to go with the burgundy one. I have had my Yukon for about three months now, and I love the way it handles steeps hills and deep mountain inclines. In terms of interior features, I just love the comfortable cloth seats, the side air bags, the nine passenger seating (which is great for large groups) and the Onstar security system. In regards to exterior features, I like the sleek body style, the exterior design trim package, and I also like the fact that the 2010 model has a six speed automatic transmission. In terms of gas mileage, I was very surprised that I was to travel a whole day without having to fill up the tank. I was also happy to see that it has a USB port and interior navigation system, which come in handy for long night time road trips. If I had to say anything negative, it would be that I couldn't find one in my first color choice red.
