Buyer's Guide

Honda

Honda has a reputation for building reliable, practical cars. Although Honda's focus is on cost-effective transportation, it also creates sporty models for driving enthusiasts, and hybrid or all-electric vehicles for environmentally conscious motorists.

Least Expensive: With a starting price just over $17,000, the Fit hatchback is the least expensive Honda. At about $22,000, the HR-V is the cheapest Honda SUV.

Most Expensive: The Civic Type R's nearly $38,000 starting price makes it the most expensive Honda. The Pilot is the most expensive Honda SUV, and it can cross $50,000 fully loaded.

Most Fun to Drive: A peppy engine, manual transmission, and sport suspension make the Civic Si coupe and sedan tons of fun. Then there's the Civic Type R hatchback, which might be the sportiest FWD vehicle ever created.

Best Fuel Economy: The Insight gets up to 52 mpg combined city/highway, making it the Honda with the best fuel economy. Despite its economical intentions, we found the Insight to make a great everyday vehicle, and even be fun to drive.
