2011 Honda Accord Review
Improved, but competition is taking the lead
Reviewed by Automotive on
In a Nutshell
The 2011 Honda Accord is an ideal mid-size family car with a spacious cabin and impressive on-road handling. Moderately priced, the Accord has solid track record for reliability and economy. As either a coupe or sedan, the Accord comes equipped with a four-cylinder or V-6 engine and a five-speed manual or automatic transmission, with the exception of the V-6 coupe which sports a six-speed manual transmission. In 2011, the Honda Accord's interior and exterior are updated, and its already well-respected fuel efficiency is improved, moving it into the 21 mpg city/31 mpg highway range. Always known for safety, the Accord comes with plentiful air bags and all of the brake safety you'd expect in a car that appeals to young families. As usual, the Honda Accord offers exceptional packages and options at all trims levels.
New for 2011
Updates for the 2011 Honda Accord include restyled front grille, bumper, tail lights, and wheel design, while sedans get a new trunk lid. Interior styling gets a refresh as well, and now for the first time, a special edition (SE) trim level is available with a luxurious leather interior. In addition, the Accord's fuel economy improves on several trim levels.

Driving Performance
The 2011 Honda Accord gets good grades for its versatile steering, fast engine response, excellent ride, and superb balance. Smooth power-train performance is another benefit of the Honda Accord, especially in the V-6 coupe. Combined fuel economy improves 4-8 percent.
Safety Equipment
Standard on the 2011 Honda Accord are dual front, front-side, and side curtain airbags, as well as driver and front passenger active head restraints, stability/traction control, ABS, EBD, BA, and 3-point seat belts.
From the Inside
Quality materials and a high-tech console distinguish the 2011 Honda Accord. Rear passengers now enjoy extra leg and shoulder room. Paddle shifters are available this year for V-6 coupes.
On the Outside
This 2011 Honda Accord is the largest one yet and more progressively styled. Despite the exterior updates for 2011, it still gets lost in the crowd.
