2013 Honda Crosstour Review

Reviewed by Automotive on

Vehicle Overview

The 2013 Honda Crosstour crossover stands apart from the rest of the segment thanks to its slightly controversial styling. The Crosstour is powered by a 2.4-liter four-cylinder engine that produces 192 horsepower, with a 278 horsepower, 3.5-liter V-6 available engine. With an EPA-estimated 22/31 mpg city/highway, the 2013 Honda Crosstour is one of the most fuel-efficient vehicles in its class, and has earned an IIHS Top Safety Pick. The new Crosstour is available in two models, the EX and EX-L. Inside the Honda Crosstour it is clear that this crossover and the previous-generation Accord are related. The center stack is littered with buttons, with the optional navigation compounding this problem. With the introduction of voice commands, operating the infotainment system becomes manageable. As a hatchback, cargo room is ample, delivering 25.7 cubic feet of storage space behind the rear seats, and when they are folded down, that number jumps to 51.3 cubic feet. Standard features for the 2013 Honda Crosstour include automatic headlights, foglamps, sunroof, keyless entry, tilt and telescopic steering wheel, rearview camera, Bluetooth, and a seven-speaker audio system. The EX V-6 includes 18-inch wheels, keyless ignition, blind spot monitor, and an upgraded sound system with Pandora radio. The EX-L adds on to the EX V-6 to include leather upholstery, heated front seats, auto-dimming rearview mirror, satellite radio, and a hidden removable utility box. The EX-L V-6 includes the same options as the EX V-6, with an optional voice-activated navigation system.
